Andrew Wilson is the Vice President of Research/Development and Explosives Marketing for BAE SYSTEMS Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI), an explosive product producer and operating contractor of the Holston Army Ammunition Plant.

Mr. Wilson started working for BAE SYSTEMS in 1978 as a process operator, making plastic and rubber-based components for the UK armed forces. During the first ten years of his employment with BAE SYSTEMS, Andrew also studied chemistry on a part-time basis. After three years, Andrew was promoted from the manufacturing department to the science departments where he continued with part-time chemistry studies while working as a rocket propellant formulator’s assistant. During that time, he also gained explosives safety testing experience and helped establish a UK explosives test laboratory. In 1988, after a total of nine years part time study, Andrew attained an Honors Degree in Applied Chemistry and took on a more senior role in the explosive formulation department in the UK. From 1989 through 1998, Andrew worked in various UK BAE SYSTEMS sites in several capacities: at Glascoed, South Wales as a cast-cured PBX Formulator (to 1994); at Bishopton, Scotland as a Research Team manager for Insensitive Munitions gun propellant formulations (to 1996) and at Bridgwater, England as an explosive manufacturing Development Manager (to 1998). Andrew joined BAE SYSTEMS Ordnance Systems Inc. at Holston Army Ammunition Plant, in the latter part of 1998.

Andrew is married to Gillian, and they have two children. He enjoys golf, skiing, chess and music. He resides in Kingsport, Tennessee.
